5 Of My Current Fave Songs to Play As a Wedding DJ

When I'm picking music for your reception as your wedding DJ, it’s about the right feeling at the right time. Music comes and goes with trends and tastes of course, but here's a few for each part of your wedding day that I'm really feeling at the moment!

1. TWH - Slavin' It

Shameless self-promotion moment here, it's my mashup for Fisher's 'Losing It' and Britney's 'Slave', and it manages to go off even harder than Fisher or Britney's originals (thanks guys, couldn't have done it without ya). I've played this a few times as a wedding DJ now and it's torn the roof off every time!

2. Polo & Pan - Ani Kuni

Such a cool track, a real 'sing along even though you don't know the words' kinda feeling to it. A banger that doesn't need to smack you in the face too hard, that feels familiar even when you're hearing it for the first time, love being able to play this as a wedding DJ.

3. Nicki Minaj - Super Freaky Girl

Super NSFW stuff (duh) but I still get asked to play WAP at every wedding DJ gig now, so I guess it's fine right? She's still the funniest person in rap and is the queen of making great use of 80's samples, in this case taking a huge chunk of Rick James' classic 'Super Freak'.

4. Cerrone - Supernature (Climax Edit)

A track I'll admit I'd totally forgotten about until Gaspar Noe released his psychedelic horror masterpiece 'Climax' in 2018 (highly recommended but not for the faint of anything). It's an edit of the disco classic made just for the perfect opening scene of the film, and as a wedding DJ I love sliding this tune in at the right moment for any wedding with a pumping dancefloor.

5. Reel 2 Real - I Like to Move It (NOME Remix)

Sometimes all a remix needs to be is just a polishing, a fresh coat of paint on a well-worn classic, and this is it. It keeps all the elements of the original that work and just adds enough newness to make it a perfect post-10pm wedding banger. A total weapon for any wedding DJ.
